Daily Grind

This is scarry times with all the news on Coronavirus. We are already seeing the effect on social media, grocery stores, schools, and businesses. Lots of offices are closing and having emploees work remotely. It has effected many parts of our everyday lives. This has a huge effect on businesses as people make the choice to isolate them selves and stay away from public spaces. We opened our Godley location in late September and added a Ft. Worth location just last month. The Ft. Worth location is located inside the Catholic Charities of Ft. Worth building and late Friday I was informed that they have chosen to close offices for the next two weeks. My first thought was to panic. I have two employees that I still have to pay for two weeks work with no income from that location. Im sure it will effect our business at our Godley location as well. I could cut back employee hours or cut back store hours and save payroll dollars but how does this effect my employees that depend on this job for their livelyhood? Or we can choose to trust God...

Philippians 4:6-7

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

We are making the choice to trust God. I believe that when God gives us something that we are not supposed to keep it all to ourselves but share with others, whether that be monatary, material, knowledge etc. God has given us the chance to have our small business and we will use what we have been given for his Glory.

We posted that with kids out of school we will be serving free sack lunch for kids in need daily while school is out, no questions asked. We started having people show up on Saturday for lunches. Something else amazing happened, we started having people show up to help support, asking about volunteering, dropping off bags of chips for lunches, donating money to go toward food for kids lunches. God is already showing up and showing out. We love our community.

We are chosing to carry on business as usual. No hours will be cut for employees instead we will deliver within Godley City Limits any purchase of $15.00 of more for free. We will continue to practice sanitation practices and add extra precautions. Customers can also take advantage of our drive through services. We are trusting God will take care of us and we will choose to continue to care for others.
