A week ago I was overwhelmed with business and how was I going to get it all done. I was working a minimum of 80 hours per week and feeling pretty wiped out. Things change quickly. Today I face the possable closing of our beloved coffee shop due to the Coronavirus Pandemic. When we came to work yesterday the building was flooded from the rain and city drainage backing up to lowest place. Spent the day cleaning and sanitizing. With hopes of opening up today then they announced the first confirmed case in Johnson County. Today the Governor is expected to make the announcement of closing all restaurants and Bars in Texas. Monday we closed our Ft. Worth location until further notice. Yesterday I had to make the very hard decision to lay off ALL my emploees. That is 9 people that depended on me for income that no longer has a job to go to. We will be postponing our Farmers Market until further notice.
Today we will be serving through our drive thru only and taking call in pick up orders. We will also continue to hand out sack lunches today to families in need at the drive thru.
We are all facing uncetainty with our lives right now. This is a time for us to pull together as a town and as a nation. Take care of your neighbors, the elderly, the vulnerable. Be the one to stand in the gap and pray for our health care workers, law enforcement and government officials. Be the light in someones day. Share with others, give freely, love unconditionaly.
2 Chronical 7:14
If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
