Daily Grind- Brokenness

Brokenness can have different meaning to different people. The dictinary describes is as loss.

adj. 1. Forcibly separated into two or more pieces; fractured: a broken arm; broken glass. 2. Sundered by divorce, separation, or desertion of a parent or parents: children from broken homes; a broken marriage.

Coffee beans must endure modification for you to best exploit the flavors they contain. They have to be broken for you to appreciate them. If the beans are not ground fine enough (broken enough) the water runs through it quickly and you get a week cup of watered down coffee. If it is ground to fine (broken too much) the water will not flow through it and it becomes bitter coffee.

Loss is not easy to endure as we go through life we will experience many losses and we have a choice as to what we do with that loss. It can make us bitter or it can make us better. It can make is week and weary or it can make us willing. What will you choose?

Isaiah 40:28-31

28 Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. 29 He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. 30 Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; 31 but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
