Something to think about. - The coffee bean is not actually a bean at all it is the seed from a fruit tree. It is inside a small fruit that is called a cherry. It takes 6 to 9 months to develop and another three months to ripen. No two crops are alike and coffee from the same plant can vary from harvest to harvest. Much the same as we change through the different chapters of our lives. The coffee plant is affected by changes in climate and soil conditions. Much the same as our children are affected by their environment, living conditions. The coffee is also affected by the harvesting and processing procedures. What example are we being for our children? Are we being fertile soil for our children to have firm ground to grow and thrive in?
1 Peter 5
2 Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve;
3 not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock.
