A year ago I was working to help this family with a homestudy to adopt this young man. This week I made mask for the family to use during these crazy times. Something that most people dont know about being a foster family, is that as a foster parent you are not allowed to post pictures of foster childen without covering their faces. So foster families everywhere struggle to find a way to cover their faces when posting family pictures of their foster children. Well they now have a leveled playing field, as everyone has their face covered these days.
It has been a crazy hard month for everyone. We have made many changes over the last month. We temporarily closed our Fort Worth location and our farmers market. We had to lay off most of our wonderful employees at our Godley location. We have been forced to change our menu and change it again. Partly due to loss of business and part due to shortages in supplies. We have also had to change our hours several times. You our loyal customers have continued to come and support us.
We have started making and selling mask to make up for the loss of business and have now donated or sold over 200 masks. Though a lot has changed we are still able to offer breakfast of assorted muffins and breakfast sandwiches. We are atill offering lunch, our fresh made soups, salads, baked potatos and sandwiches on fresh baked breads. We offer soup by the quart with advanced notice, fresh pot pies and chopped beef sandwiches.
We can do a special cake or pie order with advance notice.
We are still offering shipping via UPS.
We offer mask for men, women, and children. Due to demand we take orders and usually have them within a few days. Your orders help us to keep our doors open. We can not offer certain prints as it becomes harder to get supplies and fabrics.
We dont know what the future holds for any of us. We will continue to work and change menus as needed to use what supplies are available. We will continue to make coffee, to bake cakes, to ship packages, to make masks, and to believe that God is in control.
With all the changes we appreciate your continued support and patience. We love our customers, our community, and our town.
