The Morning Grind

Updated: Jan 20

Since opening our coffee shop at the end of September I have had very little time to do anything but brew coffee and bake. It has been an amazing 4 months and we so appreciate all the great customers that have supported our endevors.

A lot has happened and a lot has changed in the few months since our doors opened. When we started it was going to be coffee only. We then decided before we opened to add pastries and breakfast items. We then added light lunches. We started a monthly cake night and went from a few specialty cakes to 15 to 20 specialty cakes by the slice each month. Next month we change it from cake night to cake day and will be selling our specialty cakes all day instead of just the two hours at night.

We started Paint and Sip workshops and due to requests we started adding mother daughter paint and sip and mother son paint and sips. We have done several paint and sip birthday parties. Added a Pintrest night and Cricut night.

I myself had back surgery and my sister and My baker had hip replacement surgery all since opening our doors all without closing down any days. We have worked on tweeking and perfecting our recipes and adding some often requested items. If you have not tried our turnovers they are amazing.

We have trained and retrained employees and worked on policies and prices. Our customers have been very gracious when we have made mistakes and I hope we have fixed any mistakes. We would love to hear what we are doing good and what we need to work on, so please drop us a line and let us know. If you have had any problems with your orders we want to know that to and hopefuly fix it for you.

Proverbs 16:3

Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established

God has truly blessed our endevors and we are so very grateful. A few things we have coming up:

Teen girls Bible Study will be meeting on Monday nights with McKenna from Posh Southern Glow Studio. We are excited to have them here.

Brazos Christian Church has a service here on Sundays now at 10:30 it is tailored to foster/adopt families.

We are scheduling a concealed carry class coming soon.

Godley Farmers Market will be starting in March

We are working on starting a womens morning knitting/crochet group.

We still offer dominos on Thursdays at 2:00

We will be having a love truck parked here February 14 and 15th to collect gently used clothing and baby items to benifit Chosen Ones Foster family closet.

We soon will be offering foster/adopt information meetings right here in Godley.

We are so excited and blessed to be a part of the Godley community and ask for your continued support for our business.
